Description: (For 5th & 6th Graders only) Students will be able to learn how to collaborate and play in a team. They will learn how to shoot, pass, dribble, and work as a team. Students will compete with other students/schools in our feeder pattern throughout the semester.
Meeting Times: FALL SEMESTER ONLY

Cheer
Sponsor: Miss Keesha Graves
Description: (4th-5th grade girls only) Students will learn choreographed chants and dances to cheer on our CHP sports teams during games. They will also perform at school assembly events as well as compete with other students/schools in the district throughout the school year.
Meeting Times: Every Thursdays, from 3:30-4:30 (September 26th, October 3rd, October 17th, October 24th, October 31st, November 7th, November 14th, November 21st, December 5th, December 12th)
SPRING - Every Thursdays, from 3:30-4:30 (February 27, March 6, March 20, March 27, April 3, April 10, April 17, April 24, May 1, May 8, May 22)

Chess
Sponsor: (K-2) Mr. Cesar Romero; (3-5) Mrs. Johanna Carrion; (3-6) Coach Jose Valdez
Description: Students will be able to learn how to play chess, including learning the language of chess, the chess pieces, and certain chess strategies used in game play. Students will also compete against other students/school in the district throughout the year.
Meeting Times: 3:30-4:30PM for the following days
- K-2: 9/27, 10/18, 11/1, 11/2 (tournament), 12/6
- 3-5: 10/4, 11/8, 11/9 (tournament), 11/22, 12/13
- 6th: 10/25, 10/26 (tournament), 11/15

Esports
Sponsor: Miss Candace Smith
Description: (4th and 5th grade only) Students have the opportunity to learn and play games including Rocket League, Smash Bros., and Mario Kart. Just like traditional sports, esports requires teamwork, critical thinking, communication, collaboration, creativity, and leadership among every team member to be successful. Meetings are every other week to allow students to participate in other clubs that also meet on Fridays.
Meeting Times: 3:45-4:45PM on September 27, October 18, October 25, November 1, November 15, and December 6
